Google Adds Local Rich Snippets Supports
By: Courtney Mills 2010-09-28 Google have some good news for small businesses and webmasters " they will now support rich snippets on the Google Maps and local results. Google Local Rich Snippets will improve the performance of your listing in local SERPs through the use of structured markup formats such as RDFa and hCard.

Introduced in 2009 Google Rich Snippets had been visible in universal SERPs for some time, but with restricted use.
