Google Adds Blog Search Tools
By: Navneet Kaushal 2009-07-07 Recently, Google has rolled out some of the most requested features at its Google Blog Search homepage, which was launched last year. RSS feed and Atom feed are two of the new tools, that locate in the left-hand column of the Blog Search front page. Readers can now click on the links under Subscribe to subscribe any topic or story in any feed reader, such as Google Reader.
![]() Visitors who do not have a feed reader can use the iGoogle gadget that lets them embed the Blog Search front page inside their iGoogle page or any other page that accepts iGoogle gadgets. With this, readers can browse topics and drill into stories from within the widget. They can also customize the gadget as to select which topics they intend to follow. Besides, RSS and Atom feeds, the Blog Search homepage gets two more features- Hot Queries and Latest Posts. These two features help readers in keeping up with the talks that have been doing the round at the moment. Hot Queries basically features the searches currently popular in Blog Search, while Latest Posts' focus is on the new posts from popular blogs.
