Google Page Speed Tool

How is it that the Google search engine can run so fast? The secret is their Page Speed tool and now its available for all webmasters. Page Speed is a tool that Google has been using for a while...
...now to improve the performance of its web pages. Richard Rabbat and Bryan McQuade, from the Page Speed Team, explained the tool further on the Webmaster Central Blog. Here is a small snippet:
The tool is a Firefox Add-on and is integrated with Firebug. However, this is nothing new - Yahoo has had a very similar tool available for some time now called YSlow. Here are some of the comments from the online world:
