Local Keywords Ranking In Google Maps
By: Navneet Kaushal 2009-02-12 It was in the month of August, when we covered a presentation on the Google Map Ranking Factors. Now have more insight on how you can rank your local keywords in Google Maps. Gerald Weber, President and Founder of Search Engine Marketing Group, has come up with three easy steps to do so! Have a look at them. Step 1" If youre not already in Google maps, you...
...can accomplish this by creating a new listing at the Google Local Business Center Step 2" While creating your listing, youll have the opportunity to list relevant local keywords you wish to rank for. You may list them in up to five categories. You can choose from preselected categories, or you can manually enter your own categories. ![]() Step 3" Now, all you have to do is verify your new listing. You can do this either by mail or via telephone. Since the snail mail method takes up to 2 weeks, I recommend using phone verification. Youll receive a call within a few minutes; just enter the code given to you, and your listing will be activated! (note: step 3 is only necessary if you are setting up Google Maps for the first time.) The steps are easy and at the same time helpful! It's worth trying them once. CommentsTag: Google, Maps, SEO Add to Del.icio.us | Digg | Reddit | Furl Have a bookmark! -
