Google Chef Search May Restart
By: David Utter 2006-05-16 Rumors have begun to swirl that Steve Petusevsky has ditched his gig as one of Google's new executive chefs barely a month after snaring the high-profile job.
Petusevsky and Scott Giambastiani were announced as the winners of Google's chef search, a process that took a year and a half to complete. Now, Search Engine Watch reports Petusevsky has already packed up his lunchbox and headed home. The former national director of creative food development for Whole Foods Market has been the subject of buzz on a mailing list for former Google employees, Danny Sullivan wrote. Petusevsky had written about his experience with the Google selection process, describing aspects of the kitchens and the variety of spices and other foodstuffs the company keeps in its huge pantries. The rumor should be confirmed or dispelled by Google soon. It seems very strange that someone would go through 18 months of a job process only to punch out almost immediately after being hired. --- Tag: Google Add to | DiggThis | Yahoo!
