Gas Searches On The Rise
By: David Utter 2006-04-28 As oil companies bank record profits, refinery construction remains idle, and the pipe dream of hydrogen fuel for autos ...
... offers the prospect of shifting energy control from oil companies controlling gas to oil companies owning mining companies that control the hydrogen supply, more people are turning to the web for gas price information. Other than that, how was your morning commute? Did you $pend a few minutes checking AOL Search for gas price information? You are not alone if you did. Searches for gas price information leaped by 500 percent over the past two weeks according to our sources at AOL. Searchers have expressed plenty of interest in hybrid vehicles too, with those queries gaining 180 percent as well. Ethanol and biodiesel have their share of interest, with queries moving up by some 142 percent. In a related story, Popular Mechanics crunched some numbers on alternative fuels, comparing six of them to gasoline. Maybe voters should forward it to their elected representatives just in case they missed it on Capitol Hill. And related to that comment, queries on AOL Search for "term limits" return about 12,000 results. Perhaps voters can include the first couple of pages of those results with that alternative fuel article too. --- Tag: AOL Search Add to | DiggThis | Yahoo!
