Cutts, Zawodny, And The SEJ Awards

One last nod from the Search Engine Journal's Search Blog awards showed who the voters thought would be most likely to flame a spammer to crunchy blackened bits.

Loren Baker and Threadwatch's new master Aaron Wall threw a little twist into the Search Engine Journal Awards, by creating a category dedicated to a pair of celebrated bloggers/search engine insiders: Yahoo's Jeremy Zawodny and Google's Matt Cutts.

The category asked a simple question of the voters: Which Search Employee Most Likely to Flame You For Spamming? Voters answered "Cutts" by a decent percentage, 60.9%. SEJ's Baker detailed the competition on his site:

This was a rather fun question / category which led to coverage of the Search Engine Journal Search Blog Awards on the blogs of both Cutts and Zawodny, and a little competition between the two. Such personalization of the Search Blog Awards and light hearted jabs back and forth by the nominees goes to show that thankfully this is still an open and friendly industry…

Congratulations to Baker and all the voters for making this happen; it's been entertaining to follow.
