Tossing a website address into the Link Popularity tool gives back a list of pages linking to it from several search engines.
The online tool at Icon Interactive puts a lot of link checking in one simple form.
By entering a site address in the form, the Link Popularity tool will determine if the site is listed in Dmoz and Zeal, figure its Alexa ranking, and show how many links to the site are contained at Google, Yahoo, MSN Search, AlltheWeb, AltaVista, and HotBot.
Icon Interactive said on its site that a score of 1,000 to 5,000 indicates average popularity. 20,000 or higher is popular, while 100,000 or more would be Internet "icons."
The company created the form in PHP, and a quick check of www.webpronews.com came back in 18.69 seconds. It's a nice fast way to do that Google inbound link check and get a little extra information along with it.
