The online job search site will tweak some of its offerings to permit faster job applications and shielding résumés from current employers.
It won't arrive until October, but Monster.com's Privacy Plus should be a welcome feature for job hunters. That will allow job seekers to block certain firms, like those who currently employ them, from seeing their résumés online.
Monster disclosed in a statement its plans to redesign the look and feel of the site's homepage. The intent will be to better personalize the site for users, and to make more relevant information readily available.
By visiting the My Monster personalized page, users will see their list of Recommended Jobs updated in real time. After applying for a job, My Monster applicants will see what other seekers have applied for after they applied for that same position.
In the search area, job hunters will be able to search by job title. The application process gets speeded up with the use of a QUICKApply profile. Completing the cover letter and résumé in QUICKApply and specifying a job title will let applicants apply for jobs with a single click.
