Google Takes The UK To The Movies

Google UK now has a feature that has been available in the U.S. since February - the movie showtime and review feature.
For those who aren't familiar with this feature of Google, if you search for "films", "showtimes", or the title of a movie that is currently out, Google will provide a separate search box at the top of the results page, in which you type the zip code in to get movie reviews and showtimes at nearby theaters.
"The only thing that surprised me was after spot checking reviews for several popular films, I wasn't able to find many reviews published in the UK media," said Gary Price at SearchEngineWatch. "I would think that this content would also be relevant to Google UK users."
Nevertheless, it is a pretty handy tool if you go to see a lot of movies. I couldn't possibly say why Google took so long to add this feature to its UK site, but at least they have it now.
