Yahoo! Ends Paid Inclusion
By: Stephen Pitts 2010-01-11 Back in October, Yahoo! announced that by the end of 2009 Search Submit Pros Paid Inclusion would be discontinued causing some alarm by sites using the service... ...service and many of us in the search industry wondered how it would impact the search results. Those of us that managed SSP feeds wondered what would happen after the announcement of the search agreement between Microsoft and Yahoo in July that was finalized last month. Well, it did not end on December 31st, however, it actually gave up the ghost earlier this week. I will be analyzing the impact of the change from a ranking perspective for my clients, so if you are seeing major changes with Yahoo! rankings it might be SSP. The other interesting game changer will come when Bing starts delivering Yahoos results. Have you seen any changes with Yahoo rankings? Feel free to share.
