Google Adds Sitelinks To Websites!
By: Navneet Kaushal 2008-02-25 Lots of sitelnks are being reported for new websites at the webmasterworld, in fact we too have got one for PageTraffic!. The last sitelink update was reported late last year, see: Sitelink Update by Google!. Reports are rife about a sitelink update in Europe, UK, Germany, etc. While most such innovations first spread the websites in the US and only later spread to other languages and countries. Apparently, it has surprised some webmasters. "I woke up today to find my website now has sitelinks in the serps. It's the first time I've ever seen it for my website and I'm hoping it means I'm doing something right", says Asia Expat. "I do not see any change in traffic, although recently I've seen approximately 20 percent increase from both Google and Yahoo. The sitelinks only work for my website's name as far as I can tell, which is quite unique. There are six sitelinks showing and the algo has correctly chosen the busiest sections with the most articles." The sitelinks are a bit of an indication about how Google views your site's hierarchy. Quite a few people click them too, for various reasons. It makes sites seem, slightly more 'important' to end users and it can drive in more traffic to your site.
