If you want a good indicator of what the searching populace will be searching for from week to week, just watch TV. It would be nice to think people had their own minds, but as the behaviorist will tell you, people are sheep. Google's weekly Zeitgeist reveals the flock can be lured not just by sexy girls, but even by elitist sports.

Elitist sports? That's a little harsh, isn't it? Isn't it okay for the masses to enjoy golf, horse racing, and cycling? Of course it is, now let's move on. We'll revisit this conversation when yachting, polo, and croquet hit the top gainers list.

So something less disagreeable then. This week's report is good evidence, not that we needed more, that television drives search traffic.

Case in point: the query leader this week is Storm Large, a contestant on Rock Star Supernova. Absent of Pam to ogle, Tommy Lee stated he'd like to see more of Storm and less of her clothing (she obliged the following week, by the way). Storm looked at Tommy and said "six letters. Google."

Boom. Storm Large is the most sought-after hope-I-find-some-nudie-shots queen of the Internet this week.

Storm is joined by a bevy of other beauties. Miss Universe, Zuleyka Rivera Mendosa of Puerto Rico, may have come close to number one, but searches for her were split between queries for -miss universe- (#2) and her name (#9). Miss Kentucky USA was robbed!

Storm and Miss Universe enjoy the company of J-Lo (#10), Janet Jackson (#11), and Diana Bianchi (#13), Peter Cook's midlife crisis.

Back to elitist sports. Like Miss Universe, Tiger Woods (#15) can take credit for splitting search queries after being the first to win the British Open (#3) two years running in nearly a quarter of a century. Another split search gainer is Tour De France (#6) and its winner Floyd Landis (#7).

But for all y'all looking for information on Kevin Smith's latest triumph, "Clerks 2" (#8), high fives and snoochie boochies.

Here's the rest of the list:

4. Channing Tatum
5. Lady in the Water
12. Barbaro
14. Zune
