By: Courtney Mills 2010-04-20 Google has recently taken its search suggestion feature to a whole new level. An update was released just last week with three enhancements to help searchers enter their search query... ...more quickly and easily: more localized Google Suggest, improved spell correction for names and auto-correction for 31 languages. Google Suggest has been made more relevant by listing queries beneath the search box that are more relevant to your area. Here is Google's example: ![]() For those searchers who have a little trouble with spelling, then Google Did you mean?" link has been improved also. New Google technology now picks up more search results when they type in a persons name and additional information. The official Google blog post explains more:
The final enhancement also applies to the "Did you mean?" feature, where spelling auto-correction has now been expanded to 31 languages across 180+ domains. So next time you think your search query is incorrect, think again, chances are Google knows what you're thinking and has the correct search results for you.
