Image Support Now Added To Goggle XML Sitemaps

The change will allow owners of image heavy websites... ... to ensure Google is indexing these files for inclusion in image based search results. For each URL on your sitemap you can list up to 1,000 images and include information on:
Googles webmaster help page provides more information on how to implement the image tags, but I have also included a short example below. ![]() Submitting images via your sitemap can be useful in helping Google find files that may be hidden behind JavaScript forms and is general good practise to ensure youre getting as much information indexed as possible.
