Google Buzz Is Merely A Bridge To Google Wave

By: Jaan Kanellis

OK Google released Google Buzz today. Pretty neat stuff, but I am thinking that this is really just a small component of Google Wave, which is really what Google wants everyone to be using. Here is the Google Wave video...

The thing is Google Wave is very overbearing. It probably frustrates the layperson more than helps them consolidate all their online conversations. So I am thinking Google is releasing pieces of Google Wave into Gmail like Google Buzz slowly. I dont think their really is any conspiracy here. I feel it is pretty clear that Google wants all online conversations: socially (Facebook), real-time (Twitter), email and instant messaging happening on their property. Why not, it opens them up to millions of users to present advertising to.
