Google's Surprising Superbowl Commercial

The ad is a surprising move from Google, who has typically refused to advertise their search product in mainstream media. The ad titled Parisian Love, can be seen below: This is a very interesting move from Google, whose core philosophy has always been to focus on product innovation and performance as means for attracting and retaining their users. This was confirmed just over 6 months ago by Google CEO Eric Schmidt who was commenting on Bings television ads,
Something must have changed in the past 6 months for Google to backflip so quickly and run a million dollar Superbowl ad. Some analysts are pointing to increased pressure from Bing, while others think it might be a push for their own TV Ads program.
