Google Predicting Future Trends
By: Courtney Mills 2009-08-18 Hard to believe that it has been over a year since Google launched Insights for Search tool. Now Google have announced additional features to the tool. For those who are unaware of this tool, Google Insights for Search allows users to track search trends across different verticals, geographic locations and time periods. Its a great help if you want to learn more about which keywords are the right ones to target in your PPC campaign. As part of the upgrade, the tool is now available in 39 languages. But by far the most impressive part of the release is the new forecast feature, which aims to extrapolate future popularity of keywords (based on historical trends and search patterns). The Google Labs team in Israel explains more:
If you want to get a better understanding of these trends from a visual image, Google have now included an animated map to the tool. So if youre looking for a quick and easy way to find out which keywords you should be targeting throughout different times of the year, then I would suggest checking out Google Insights for Search. As always, Google have included a video explaining more about these new features, so I have added it below for your convenience. Enjoy!
