Google Not Worried About Bing
By: Courtney Mills 2009-06-12 There has been a fair amount of hype surrounding Microsofts new search engine Bing, but Googles not scared! For those not sure what Bing is... ...its Microsofts new decision engine which proclaims to be more advanced than your regular run-of-the-mill search engine. But Googles CEO Eric Schmidt hasnt bought into all the hype. In a recent interview with the Fox Business Network, Schmidt expressed his thoughts on Bing:
Ouch take that Microsoft! Schmidt goes on further to explain that although Bing may be a strong competitor in the future, Google will always be the number one search engine. If you want to check out the whole interview, just click here. Of course, Yahoo! has weighed into the Bing debate also. Bing beat Yahoo! in search market share for one day last week in the US (perhaps a sign of things to come?). This put Yahoo! CEO Carol Bartz on the defensive in a recent interview with Fox Business Network. Here are Carols thoughts on the situation:
Do you think Google & Yahoo! are sounding threatened by Bing? I think Google has little to worry about, but Yahoo! is whole other story. Perhaps they should be looking for a Microhoo! partnership again CommentsTag: Google, Bing, SEO Add to Del.icio.us | Digg | Reddit | Furl Have a bookmark! -
