Couple Lose Lawsuit With Google Street View
By: Andy Beal 2009-02-18 It seems the Boring couple who sued Google for $25,000"claiming Street Views invaded their privacy"will have to return to a life of obscurity. ![]() They just lost their suit. I know weve already picked on them for a) their name and b) filing a public lawsuit to protect their privacy, but it appears the U.S. District Court for Western Pennsylvania agreed that the couples suit was ridiculous, stating the Borings "failed to state a claim under any count." Lets set aside for one second the irony of the Borings going public to protect their privacy. As CNET highlights, theres a somewhat scary statement buried in Googles response to the lawsuit.
That may be true Google, but we expected Big Brother to be the US government, not a technology company yet to reach cyber-puberty. CommentsTag: Google, Street, SEO Add to Del.icio.us | Digg | Reddit | Furl Have a bookmark! -
