According to the Yahoo Search Marketing Blog:

Yahoo! is running a heart border around Valentines-related ads on the right side of our page. The hearts will show up on certain Valentines queries for gifts, candy, cards and, of course, Valentines Day itself. Were not just doing this just because its cute (even though it is). Our hope is that users searching for Valentines Day gifts will more easily spot the ads and see something theyre looking for. If your ad shows up on the right side of the page, instead of the top, you may also get more exposure in that position than you would have before.

This is something that Google has been doing (for a lot of holiday seasons) for the past so many years! Here is the screen shot of one such experiment by Google:

Wonder why it is only for Valentine related ads and why not for flowers, gifts or some thing like this!!!
