Google's New Advanced Search Page

By: Philipp Lenssen
2008-03-06

Search Engine Roundtable reports that Google updated their advanced search page. I cant see it yet, so perhaps its still being tested or still being rolled out? Then new advanced page...

...looks more structured and less complicated, as several more advanced features (like searching for specific Creative Common licenses, or SafeSearch) have been put into an expandable box. Hovering over the tip links to the right will display information boxes right on the page, according to Search Engine Roundtable. (And, if I understand the screenshots right, whatever search you construct using the various interface elements will be displayed as search query on top... though Im not so sure about that part.)

Old

New

On a side-note, Google excluded their advanced search page from being indexed, so even though its linked from their PageRank 10 homepage " among many other pages " it wont show any PageRank.
