Google Plans To Retire Its Adsense Referral
By: Navneet Kaushal 2008-01-09 This is going to be a bad news for those who make a significant income through the Adsense sign-ups, but unfortunately stay outside North America, Latin America and Japan. It is so because, Google AdSense has now announced that it is going to phase out of the AdSense Referral units program from publishers staying outside the said regions. The reason behind this step has been attributed to the low turn-around of AdSense sign-ups from countries other than these areas. Thus soon the option to create a referral button for Adsense will no longer appear in the users accounts. However, not everything is happy news for those located in North America, Latin America and Japan. Under the same policy, the publishers in these regions will return to its previous rate of $100 from the current $250 which includes a $5 bonus. Till now there has been no explanation made for these payout rate changes. But still it is no secret that the AdSense Referral units have been faring bad in terms of successful sign-ups. Although what remains to be seen is the good, bad or may be ugly side of this move?
