Google Phone News: This Not Just In From The WSJ
By: Andy Beal 2007-10-30 My feeds were buzzing this morning over a Wall Street Journal article discussing the infamous Google GPhone. At last"I thought"if the WSJ is talking about it... ...then they must have something substantial to share. Alas, my hopes were dashed. Dont get me wrong, for the WSJs audience, its "Can a Google Phone Connect With Carriers?" article is a good summary of what weve (you and I) have been talking about for months. But, dont read the article expecting to find some solid new information that hasnt already been dissected elsewhere in the blogosphere. Still, there was one glimmer of news, and here it is Within the next two weeks, Google is expected to announce advanced software and services that would allow handset makers to bring Google-powered phones to market by the middle of next year, people familiar with the situation say. Thats really all you need to know. I feel like one of those book summary companies you see in biz mags. "Not enough time to read the WSJ, well summarize it for you!"
