Google Debuts Picasa Web Albums 
By: Steve Rubel 2006-06-14 Google has launched Picasa Web Albums, which were first spotted last week. It's a limited beta test right now so sign up while you can. Here's a sample gallery that Google uploaded. Link: Picasa Web Albums, sign up, sample gallery Each account comes with approximately 250MB of space with options to upgrade to more. Picasa Web Albums doesn't even come close to becoming a Flickr killer. While all albums have feeds, and comments, there are no tags nor are there groups. So it's basically lacking any community.
